Child Safety Standards Policy

At Kenalan, the safety and well-being of our users, especially children, are of utmost importance. We are committed to maintaining a secure platform and implementing robust measures to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding children on our platform and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

1. Published Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation on our platform. Our published standards include the following key principles:

  • Prohibition of Inappropriate Content: Content promoting or depicting CSAE, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), is strictly prohibited.
  • Strict User Behavior Guidelines: Any attempts to exploit or harm minors, including grooming or solicitation, will result in immediate account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • User Reporting Encouraged: Users are encouraged to report any suspicious or harmful behavior to help us maintain a safe environment.

2. In-App Mechanism for User Feedback

We provide an easy-to-use in-app mechanism for users to share feedback, report inappropriate content, or flag suspicious activity.

  • Users can report issues directly from user profiles, chat messages, or content using the Report button.
  • Reports are reviewed promptly by our dedicated moderation team to take swift and appropriate action.
  • Feedback regarding child safety is prioritized and handled with care.

3. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

We take proactive measures to identify, prevent, and address CSAM on our platform:

  • Automated Detection Tools: Utilizing advanced technologies to detect and block CSAM before it reaches users.
  • Human Moderation: Employing a specialized team to review flagged content and take action as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Authorities: Actively cooperating with law enforcement and child protection agencies to report incidents and share relevant evidence.
  • Partnerships: Collaborating with organizations like the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to stay updated on best practices for combating CSAM.

4. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Our platform is committed to full compliance with all applicable child safety laws, including but not limited to:

  • The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA);
  • Relevant international standards and regional laws.
We continuously monitor regulatory changes to ensure our policies and practices remain up-to-date and compliant.
